Description

The HPE Aruba Networking 510 Series Campus Access Points deliver Wi-Fi 6 coverage ideal for office spaces, training and meeting facilities, and hospitals. With 2.69 Gbps maximum combined data rate, multi-gigabit Ethernet for fast wired connectivity, and built-in IoT radio, the 510 Series delivers reliable, high-performance Wi-Fi Wi-Fi CERTIFIED- for medium density campus environments. These APs can be deployed using Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) for ease of implementation at remote locations. It is Wi-Fi and supports 802.11ax features: OFDMA for multi-user efficiency, target wake time (TWT) to extend the battery life of connected IoT devices, and WPA3 and Enhanced Open for greater password and guest security. The 510 Series includes a limited lifetime warranty.

What is new supporting point:Wi-Fi 6 AP that provides up to 2.69 Gbps maximum combined data rate.
Support for OFDMA for enhanced multi-user efficiency, and WPA3 and Enhanced Open for greater security.
IoT-ready with [1] Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee support and fast wired connections with 2.5 Gbps Ethernet and 1 Gbps Ethernet ports.
Client and RF optimization to match clients with one of the best available AP and reduce coverage gaps.
Dynamic Segmentation and policy enforcement firewalls automatically enforce consistent policies across wired and wireless networks, enhancing user and device security.
Offered in optional eco-friendly 10-packs.

5375 Mbit/s

Maximum data transfer rate (2.4 GHz)

575 Mbit/s

Maximum data transfer rate (5 GHz)

4800 Mbit/s

Ethernet LAN data rates

The different speed levels of the Ethernet LAN connection.

Networking standards

The way in which the network is working, e.g. IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g.

IEEE 802.11ax

Auto MDI/MDI-X

A Medium Dependent Interface (MDI) describes the interface (both physical and electrical) in a computer network from a physical layer implementation to the physical medium used to carry the transmission. Ethernet over twisted pair also defines a medium dependent interface crossover (MDIX) interface. Auto-MDIX ports on newer network interfaces detect if the connection would require a crossover, and automatically chooses the MDI or MDIX configuration to properly match the other end of the link.

MIMO

Spread spectrum method

DSSS, OFDM

Modulation

Modulation is the process of varying one or more properties of a periodic waveform, called the carrier signal (High Frequency Signal), with a modulating signal which typically contains information to be transmitted. The aim of digital modulation is to transfer a digital bit stream over an analog bandpass channel, for example over the public switched telephone network (where a bandpass filter limits the frequency range to between 300 and 3400 Hz), or over a limited radio frequency band. The aim of analog modulation is to transfer an analog baseband (or lowpass) signal, for example an audio signal or TV signal, over an analog bandpass channel at a different frequency, for example over a limited radio frequency band or a cable TV network channel.

Security

Security algorithms

Security algorithms are used to provide authentication, cipher key generation, integrity and radio link privacy to users on mobile networks. The security algorithms supported are the ones that can be used with this product.

WMM, WPA, WPA2

Ports & interfaces

Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports

Number of Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. Ethernet LAN (RJ-45) ports allow a computer to connect to the ethernet.

2

USB 2.0 ports quantity

Number of USB 2.0 ports (connecting interfaces) in the device. USB 2.0 was released in April 2000 (now called "Hi-Speed"), adding higher maximum signaling rate of 480 Mbit/s (effective throughput up to 35 MB/s or 280 Mbit/s), USB 2.0 ports are usually black.

1

USB connector type

The type of USB connector/port that this product has.

USB Type-A

DC-in jack

The socket/plug where the DC electricity supply connects to the device.

Power

Power over Ethernet (PoE)

The device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which is one of several standardized or ad-hoc systems which pass electrical power along with data on Ethernet cabling. This allows a single cable to provide both data connection and electrical power to devices such as wireless access points or IP cameras.

Power consumption (typical)

Amount of power consumed by this model, often expressed in watts (W). Typical values that manufacturers give are power consumption when off, standby/suspended mode, typical use, maximum usage.
W

Design

Placement

Where the product can be placed e.g. floor, wall.

Ceiling

Product colour

The colour e.g. red, blue, green, black, white.

White

Cable lock slot

Holes on the edge of devices through which a cable lock can be passed, so the device can be locked to a desk etc.

Cable lock slot type

Kensington

Antenna

Antenna type

Type of antenna, also known an aerial, e.g. external, internal.

Internal

Antenna direction type

Omni-directional

Antenna features

Integrated antenna

Antennas quantity
