DisplayPort is a 20 pin connector similar to HDMI but designed to replace DVI/VGA. The standard was put forward by VESA to define a new royalty free audio/video connection. DisplayPort is very simple to use and makes connecting your PC to your display screen for High Definition images very easy. The HDMDPM-DPF is a Mini DisplayPort male to DisplayPort female adapter. This will allow you to connect a DisplayPort monitor to a computer or graphics card that has a Mini DisplayPort output. This is one direction and would be plugged in to the computer or graphics NOT the monitor. This one allows to use an existing DisplayPort Cable.
