This PatchSee DirectPatch 9.7m Cat6a U/UTP patch lead is engineered for long-distance unshielded network links where dependable 10Gb/s performance and rapid cable tracing are required. Constructed with a robust 6.2mm PVC sheath and a central plastic cross-web that maintains pair separation, it provides stable transmission across extended routes while minimising internal crosstalk. The cable uses stranded 24AWG bare copper conductors for flexibility and durability, with each pair insulated in foam skin PE to support consistent electrical performance. Two integrated plastic optical fibres run the full length of the assembly and terminate at visible fibre tips located behind the RJ45 plug. When illuminated using a PatchLight or PRO-PatchLight tool, these tips emit a clear, concentrated glow, allowing technicians to identify the far end of the link instantly in busy cable routes, multi-rack installations or low-light environments without disturbing adjacent connections.

The Slim PCI RJ45 plug ensures precise conductor alignment and is optimised for high-density patch panels, switches and active hardware. Its moved-contact design supports accurate Cat6a performance, while the 50 micron gold-plated contacts provide long-term durability and reliable mating cycles. The unshielded plug structure matches the U/UTP cable design, ensuring consistent end-to-end characteristics for Cat6a channel operation. Tested for attenuation, return loss and impedance stability, this DirectPatch lead is supplied in Black with white marking and includes PlugCap protectors. Compatible with PatchClips for colour-coded identification, it offers a practical, technician-friendly solution for long-run patching where illuminated tracing, 10Gb/s capability and U/UTP construction are essential requirements.
